CGA 3D Art Production Lesson 13 - Face and Head

Today for we had to follow a tutorial on how to model a face and the rest of the head in Maya 2016.
This is the first step to making our statue for our battle arena.
We got 2 reference pictures of the front and side of the head, the references also had guide lines which made modelling them so much easier. 



We started off with a cylinder and deleted the back and the side face only have of the the face left, from there we just followed the reference.



We only had to do half the face because then all we had to do was mirror it to the other side using a setting with Maya 2016, so when we had to change something the other side changed or was mirrored too.

We also added in spheres for the eyes.
